Item Detail

The Item Detail page contains all of the information about an existing item. Not all items will contain the same categories of information. You can expand or collapse each section to make it easier to view by clicking the + and – buttons next to each section heading.

Info section
At the top of the Item Detail page, you can see the Item ID, Description, and an image of the item. Hover your cursor over the image to enlarge it. An image will only appear if one is saved for the item under Item Setup. The Print button enables you to print a hard copy of the Item Detail page.

Unit of Measure
This section describes the unit sizes for this item, including the largest orderable measurement(such as a case) and what that size contains (for example, a case may contain six cans). It also describes the menu planning measurements, including the number of measurements in an item unit, and production measurements. The Ordering and Inventory measurements are used for ordering and in maintaining inventory levels Meal Planning measurements are used for serving, and Production schedule units are used for recipes.

Standard Cost
This section gives the standard cost for an orderable item unit, such as a case, as well as any upcharge associated with the item.

Recipe Info
Recipes will contain additional information listing the ingredients for the recipe and instructions for preparation. This section will be blank unless you are viewing a recipe.

Nutrient Info
This section lists the nutritional information about the item, including the portion size that this information is based on.

Contribution Info
This section lists any meal contribution information for the item, including multiple entries if more than one serving size has been given contribution information.

Edit
This button only appears if you have permissions to edit items in Item Management. The Edit button navigates you to the Details Tab on the Item Setup page for editing the item's information.

Important: If you go to Item Setup from here, you will not be able to navigate back. Make sure all of your other work is saved before clicking Edit.
