Newton 8.0.0 - May 31, 2017

Enhancements

  • NEWTON 17801 - Extend Student # field - Student number field has been extended to support 32-characters.
  • NEWTON 18475 - End of Year - Added Support for the 2016-2017 School Year
  • NEWTON 18729 - Added a new alert type for POS Customer without a POS Customer Record. This alert will warn users “You have not yet performed Housekeeping since running the End of Year process.”

    Housekeeping should be performed as part of the Beginning of Year process so that reports render with correct information.

  • NEWTON 18738 - SQL Server Alert - Updated the Alert Checker to generate a warning if any version of SQL Server older than 2012 is being used.
    Message: “Microsoft has ended mainstream support for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2. We recommend upgrading to SQL Server 2014 or newer.”
  • NEWTON 18745 - Skip Alert Check after EOY - Added a 72 hour window after running EOY that the alert checker will not launch.  This will allow districts time to re-enable scheduled jobs and the nightly jobs to run.  The alerts can still be accessed through the Utilities screen during this time period.

  • NEWTON 10607 - Added Supper and Manual Area Eligible Meals to Reimbursable Meals Served Report
  • NEWTON 11355 - Corrected the Federal Edit Check to exclude days with no meals served from being included in the Average Daily Attendance 
  • NEWTON 11412 - Fixed text overlap on the Customer Allergen Report
  • NEWTON 11571 - Fixed a bug that was prohibiting “prior day batches” warning from clearing when cancelling previous operating day
  • NEWTON 11720 - Fixed an error when running the Special Diet Items Sold report with no date range selected
