Record Temperature by Item

Use this screen to record temperatures and create records to ensure compliance with your food safety program.

Enter the Item ID or Description and click Next. Click Cancel if you want to quit without recording an item temperature.

When you click Next, the following screen opens. Note that it details the Item ID, Description, and Process for which you are recording an item temperature.

Operational Step
Use the Operational Step drop-down menu to select the operational step for which you are recording an item temperature.

Date
Enter the date on which the item temperature was recorded. Click the calendar icon to open a calendar from which you can select the date. 

Time
Enter the time at which the temperature was recorded. Click the clock icon to open a clock from which you can select the time.

Temp
Enter the temperature recorded for the item.

Suggested Correction Action
If the item temperature you enter is outside the critical range (from the CCP for this item), a corrective action appears in this field. If the item temperature you enter is within the safe range, this field reads "No action required."

Username
This displays the username of the person recording the item temperature.

Action Taken
Check this box if the item was outside the critical range and the corrective action was completed from the Suggested Corrective Action field.

Save
Click Save to record the item temperature you have entered. When you save an item temperature, you receive a confirmation.

Cancel
Click Cancel if you want to close the page without saving.
