Add Menu Cycle

Menu cycles are defined in weeks. Days within a menu cycle can contain multiple menu plan templates for each meal session.

Cycle Name
The Cycle Name field lets you enter a specific name for the menu cycle. The cycle name can be anything as long as it does not conflict with an already created cycle name. For example, an elementary cycle could be named 4 Week Cycle Elementary.

Grade Range
The Grade Range field consists of two drop-down lists, allowing you to select a specific grade range for the cycle you are creating. The first drop-down list allows you to select a beginning grade level, and the second drop-down list is to select an ending grade level.

Note: Your grade range must match the grade range of the templates you plan on using. You cannot have an elementary menu on a secondary cycle.

Cycle Size
The Cycle Size field consists of a drop-down lists that allows you to select the cycle size by the number of weeks. The maximum number of weeks you can select is 12 weeks.

Inactive Checkbox
Checking the Inactive checkbox will deactivate the menu cycle and prevent it from being published.

Cancel
The Cancel button terminates the request to search for a menu cycle and returns you back to the Menu Planning and Production page.

Save
The Save button creates a menu cycle that matches the criteria entered in the Info window. This will open the Menu Cycle Detail page.
