Find/Replace Template Item

The Find Menu Plan Template Item page allows you to search for existing items on templates and replace them with different items. Editing a template will update the template on any cycle it is attached to, but it will not update any menu plans that have already been published.

Replace Original Item
Enter the Item ID or Description of the item that is to be replaced. If you enter the description, click on the magnifying glass icon to look up the item.

With New Item
Enter the Item ID or Description of the item that is replacing the original item. If you enter the description, click on the magnifying glass to look up the item.

Menu Plan Type
Use this drop-down menu to filter results by the Menu Plan Type, such as "Lunch" or "Breakfast Elementary." All displays every template result regardless of menu plan type.

Status
Use this drop-down menu to filter results by whether the template is active or inactive. The default value is Active, but selecting All displays every template result regardless of status.

Search
After entering the item you want to find and the item you want to replace it with, click Search. The results will display the Template Name and Template Type of each template in which the original item appears.

Results List
The Current Item column will show the description, quantity, and unit of the original item as it appears on each template. The New Item column will show the description of the new item and allow you to select the quantity and unit. When replacing items, you can change the amount that is replaced as well as the unit measured. For example, you can replace 1 Each of the previous item with 2 Cups of the new item.

Click the Replace link to replace the item on a single template or use the Replace All button to replace the item on all templates.
