Line Speed Report

Description
The Line Speed Report is available from the Select Bank Deposit Report page. It prints a line speed and cashier speed for single or multiple sites and prints for a meal session and date.
The report group the transactions by terminal ID or cashier. It drops all transactions except those completed by Finish Cash, Finish Acct or SAM and calculates the amount of time in minutes and seconds between transactions.

When to Print this Report
The Line Speed Report provides an incredible management tool. You can use it on existing or past transaction information. The primary function of this report is to provide metrics for schools going cashless to inform you of how much faster a cashless system is exactly. These precise metrics can then be used along with other metrics to justify myPAL kiosks, myLunchMoney.comand other efforts for a site to go cashless.
In addition, this report could be used to encourage awards for outstanding individual cashiers. The POS Exceptions/Cashier Report card could also be used to verify that the cashier is fast and accurate, and it can encourage excellence and teamwork. You could also use it to truly measure a cashier's performance and provide backup information for possible disciplinary action.

Available Parameters:
The report requires that you enter a parameter of the amount of time between transactions to exclude i.e. exclude transactions where more than a minute or two has passed. This will eliminate the skew created by the amount of time between multiple serving periods within the same meal session.

Line Speed, Cashier Speed, or Site Summary
Enter in the Discrete value field whether you want to show the Line Speed, Cashier Speed or the Site Summary.

Exclude Transactions
Enter in the Discrete value field the number of seconds that can pass before the transaction is excluded from the average.
