Transaction Log Exception Transactions Report

Transaction Log Exception Transactions Report

Description
This analytical report helps track common errors made during the meal session and indicates specific cashiers who may need additional training. It is up to each School Food Authority to interpret the reports and make appropriate corrections consistent with FNS regulations. The report identifies the following conditions:

Ignored Customers Transactions
This section identifies those students whom the cashier was processing and never completed but instead started a transaction for a new student. This often occurs during a meal session that is running Single Action Mode (SAM) and the software is waiting for a response from the cashier because the customer owes money.

Clear All Transactions
This section identifies the number and time of day when a specific cashier used the Clear Current button to remove a transaction in process. Significant numbers of these transactions might indicate a cashier needs more training because they are getting confused about which button to press during sales. These transactions might also indicate that cash received is being handled inappropriately.

Second Meal Transactions
This section identifies those students who purchased a second meal and when the transaction occurred.

Earned Transactions
This section identifies the number of customer transactions that are entered as Earned where the customer is getting a meal at no charge.

No Meals Served Transactions
This section reports the number of customer transactions that have no meal or a la carte items. This can occur for various reasons. For instance, if Single Action Mode is used with no item selected or if the cashier selects Finish Cash with no item selected, these transactions will appear in this section.

When to Print this Report
This report should be printed after a meal session.
