Preferences

The Setup Preferences page allows you to specify the appropriate preferences for Menu Planning and Production.

General Preferences

Display history on Menu Plan
The display history consists of a drop-down list that allows you to select the amount of times the menu cycle has been used when viewing a menu plan template.

Record Post Production usage
The record post production usage consists of drop-down list that allows you to select post production usage when viewing a menu plan template. The two choices are By item and By recipe . By item displays the recipe associated with the item. By recipe displays the recipe associated with an ingredient.

New Item Template Positioning
This setting enables you to add new items to a template at the top or bottom of the list.

Default # of items to display
The number of items to display allows you to select the number of items that you would like displayed at one time.

Prevent order generation if planning is incomplete
This setting applies to sites maintaining periodic inventory only. Checking this will prevent orders placed again incomplete menu plans due to the fact that these orders may not contain projected quantities.

Show publishing task confirmation
This setting enables a confirmation message that appears whenever the user wants to start a publishing task. This setting can help prevent accidental menu plan publishing.

Enable Reimbursable Meal Caching
This setting makes it so that WebSMARTT caches reimbursable meal data. This is recommended for larger districts to speed up reimbursable meal processing.

Enable Caching for Nutrients by Item Reports
This setting makes it so that WebSMARTT caches data used for Nutrients by Item reports. This is recommended for larger districts to speed up nutrient report generation.

Enable Saturdays and Sundays on Menu Cycles
This setting adds "Saturday" and "Sunday" columns to the Menu Cycle Detail page. This allows menu cycles to incorporate weekend menus for schools that serve food on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Track Menu Plan Changes
This setting adds a prompt whenever a change is made to an existing menu plan so that changes to menu plans can be tracked.

Forecasting

Historical Menu Cycle Days to use for forecasting
This drop-down list is used when generating menu plans from a menu cycle. You have the option to select the amount of times the menu cycle has been used for forecasting when viewing a menu plan template.

Calculate forecast from ADP if history is not available checkbox
This setting applies to generated menu plans from a menu cycle. Checking this will generated a forecast using the forecasted percentages on the menu cycle day and ADP.

Cancel
The Cancel button terminates the request to specify the appropriate preferences for menu planning and production and returns you back to the Menu Planning and Production homepage.

Save Preferences
The Save Preferences button saves the selected preferences for menu planning and production.
