Generate Order Requirements

The Order by Order Group link allows you to place an order from a group of items.

Select a Need Date
The Need Date is a required field that allows you to enter the date the item is needed at the delivery site. Orders presented are based on the need date entered. Multiple saved orders with the same need date will be combined. Out-of-the-box the default date is 10 calendar days from the current date; however, the default number of calendar days can be set by central office. If the default is set to zero days at the central office, the need date will default to blank and a need date will need to be entered.

Select an Order Group
Select an Order Group allows you to select which group you can order from.

All Item with Site Item records
The All Items with Site Item records radio button allows you to generate an order group to include all items that have a site item record.

Order Groups (default)
The Order Groups radio button allows you to select from a list of district-defined order groups. Once selected, a drop-down list associated with the radio button becomes active, allowing you to select a specific order group.

Inventory Category
The Inventory Category radio button allows you to select from a list of district-defined inventory categories. Once selected, a drop-down list associated with the radio button becomes active, allowing you to select a specific inventory category.

MPO
The MPO radio button allows you to select from a list of master purchase order numbers. Once selected, a drop-down list associated with the radio button becomes active, allowing you to select a specific master purchase order number.

Vendor
The Vendor radio button allows you to select from a list of vendors. Once selected, a drop-down list associated with the radio button becomes active, allowing you to select a specific vendor.

Generate
The Generate button creates an order based on the information selected on the Order Groups page. This will open the Order by Item page with items from the selected order group displayed.
