Edison 6.0 Release Notes



Edison 6.0.2 - December 19, 2019

The goal of this release was to address changes to the CN22 database and various defects in the program.

The following enhancements and modifications were made since version 6.0.1:

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in Ad Hoc Physical Inventory that was requiring barcode configurations when a barcode was not established.

  • Fixed a bug that in Bulk Update ordering that was not displaying comments entered on the Transfer Ticket and Order Tracking Log



Edison 6.0.1 - June 28, 2019


The goal of this release was to update the system to support the CN22 database, make changes to the system to remain in USDA compliance for meal standards and regulations for the 2019-2020 SY, and add increased awareness for those running end of year processes with outstanding transfers.

A Database Upgrade is required for this version.


Enhancements

  • CN22 Database - The system has been updated to support the USDA CN22 Database for the 2019-2020 School year.

  • Updated USDA Food Patterns to comply with the whole grain-rich (WGR) flexibility (certification of compliance software) where at least half of the weekly grains offered in the NSLP and SBP must be WGR.

  • Updated the system comply with flexibility to allow low-fat flavored milk (certification of compliance software) where low-fat flavored milk is allowed in the SBP and NSLP.  Schools must offer an unflavored milk choice as one of the two or more choices. They cannot only offer flavored milk. The software will flag menus that do not offer an unflavored milk choice.

  • Enhanced the End of Year process by adding a setting to check the system for unreceived transfers. Any unreceived transfers will appear in the Check for Problems report.

Edison 6.0.0 - May 28, 2019


The goal of this release was to add support for staging orders, role importers, improve system functionality, and enable End of Year Support as well as address various defects.

The following enhancements and modifications were made since version 5.2.0:

Note: .NET 4.5 Framework or higher is required for our systems. Please review our system requirements here.

Note: DataCenter has also been updated to Enable Debug by Default and Include Log Files by default.


This version of Edison does not contain USDA changes for the upcoming school year nor the CN22 database. Once we have received the data and made the appropriate changes, we will notify you via RSS Feed that the newer version supporting these changes are available.

  • Restrict Staged Order Pullsheet - Improved functionality of the Stage Order Pullsheet to only print Approved staged orders

  • Restrict Staged Order Filling - Improved visibility and functionality to disallow editing a Staged Order in Review & Approve Orders

  • Prior Year Database Increased Visibility - When logging into a prior-year database, the prior-year date is now displayed in the background

  • Enable Debug by Default - In order to assist in troubleshooting issues, log config files are automatically set to debug and the default file size increased to 20MB

  • Simplified DataCenter Sync - DataCenter Sync has been simplified to improve performance on SQL Servers and MCS Cloud instances.

    As Full DataCenter syncs should rarely occur, the functionality and location have changed. Once a Forced Full DataCenter Sync has occurred, the option will reset to disabled.

Fixes

  • Application freeze - Fixed a bug that was freezing the program when attempting to cancel an interactive scheduled job

  • Error when merging items - Fixed a bug that was failing to convert order quantities to 1 when merging some items

  • Bid Analysis - Line Item - Fixed a bug when printing Request for Bid Quotes when the Bid Analysis type was Line Item

  • Staged Orders - Fixed a bug that was resulting in an error during shipping a staged order if the user scanned an inventory tag from a different site

  • Ship Staged Orders - Fixed a bug that was duplicating the From Site in the To Site field 

  • Inventory On-Hand - Fixed a bug that was improperly reporting a Site number when All Sites are selected in report criteria

  • Cost of Food and Supplies - Fixed a bug that was incorrectly displaying data when exported to Excel formats

  • Transfer Tickets - Fixed a bug that was not printing Transfer Tickets when filling or staging multiple orders at the same time

  • Weighted Nutrient Analysis - Fixed a bug that was always displaying “Lunch” as the meal type when running Weighted Nutrient Analysis for Meal Types other than lunch

  • RS232 Devices - Fixed a bug that was causing RS232 scanning devices to behave unexpectedly
