The Allergy System adds the ability to specify allergens on items and customer allergies. It also provides the appropriate warning on the serving line.

Establish Allergens
Step 1: From the Administration and Maintenance tab, locate Miscellaneous Setup. Then, select Allergens.
Step 2: The most common allergens are listed.
Step 1: From the Administration and Maintenance tab, locate Item. Then, select Items.
Step 2: Use the slidebar to locate the allergen columns. Place check marks in any item that contains an allergen. Then click Ok.

Step 3: From the Central Office tab, locate Customer Maintenance.
Step 4: Enter a name, student number, or SIS Data and click the Refresh button.
Step 5: Select the student whose allergy information you wish to add and click Edit.
Step 6: Click on the Allergies tab and select allergies by placing a check mark in the appropriate box(es). Click Ok when you are done.
To see when an allergen was added to a student record, you can view the Record History. To access Record History, locate the Central Office tab and POS Customer Maintenance. Search for the customer and then select View. In the POS Customer Dashboard, select the Record History button.
POS Line Operator
Step 1: From the Point of Sale main customer menu, select the appropriate customer.
Step 2: If a customer has any listed allergies, the Food Allergies window will appear with an audio alert. Any food allergies will be listed. Click Ok to continue with the sale.
Step 3: If an attempt has been made to sell a line item which contains an allergen, a warning window will appear with a loud audio warning.
- Click Cancel to return to the sale menu and make adjustments.
- Click Ok to continue with the sale.
The Chat function is available to contact the Site Supervisor for approval.
- If you choose to continue with the sale, enter a comment to explain why you have sold an item containing allergens to a customer with a known allergy. Click Ok to submit the comment.
Reports
Line items containing allergens which were sold to customers with potential allergies to those items can be found in some reports.
