Overview

This guide will walk you through the advanced option of MySchoolApps where you can modify the wording of your application.

Step 1: Log in to the Administrator Portal Website

Go to: www.myschoolsapps.com/admin
Username: firstname.lastname
Password: Admin123

(tick) Note: If your Username or Password is not working, click I forgot my username/password to receive a reset email.

Step 2: Add Custom Wording to an Application

Modify the Wording of an Online Application

Select Setup, then click Custom Strings / Languages Settings from the drop-down menu at the top of the webpage.

To Enable A Different Language
Click Activate next to the desired language. The 6 languages shown in the example below have already been translated.

Edit the Wording of an Application

  1. Click on the blue Edit button next to the desired language. This will bring you to a one page view of your entire online application. Just about every line of wording in this application is editable.
(lightbulb) Tip: Holding down your Control key on your keyboard and pressing the F key [Control + F] will allow you to search your whole application for key words of a section you are looking to edit. In Google Chrome, this will show in the top-right corner of your web browser.

  2. When you find a section you would like to edit, click the blue Edit button.

This will bring you to the Default Text of the language. You can always go back to this section and hit save, and it will overwrite any changes you have made.

3. Select Custom Text. Then, change what you want to be different from the default text. When finished, select Update at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

 Custom Text Example

(tick) Note: You can tell if a section has custom text by the header being red. Here is our example:

(tick) Note: If you make a change in English, you must also make the same change in any other language you enable.
