Best Practice: We suggest using the quadrants to group similar items together. Such as placing all your drink items together in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard.

  1. From the WebSMARTT Home page, select Point of Sale.
  2. Select Keyboard Management. The Keyboard Select page opens Add/Edit Keyboard.
  3. Click Add . The Keyboard Update page opensKeyboard.
  4. Enter an Id for the keyboard.
  5. Enter a Description for your keyboard. You can enter how the keyboard will be used, such as "bulk entry," "high school breakfast," etc.
  6. TAB to the ID# Field and enter an identification number Enter minimum and maximum components required for the keyboard.
  7. Select Click a food item from the list under POS Items on the left hand side of the screen and then click on drag the item to a key in one of the groups of keys, Groups under Keyboard Layout where you want the item to show on the keyboard.
    Repeat Step 5 and 6 for all the items to be listed on this until you have added all of the desired items to the keyboard.

    Use the Long Description button to receive more information about a particular item
    • Hover your mouse cursor over an item to see the item's description.
    • If you

    • place an item by mistake, click
    Clear Item From, and then select the unwanted key. Then click OK to confirm you want to remove the item from the key.
  8. Click Apply to save your entries. The Changes Applied page will open.
  9. Click Continue. The Keyboard Select page displays the newly created keyboard in the list of existing keyboards
    • and drag the item back to POS Items to remove it from the keyboard.
  10. When finished, click Save.
