From this page you can modify information on an existing keyboard. You can modify the items on the keyboard and the description, as well as the ID #.

Note: Keep in mind the items are created in WinSNAP, but can be added to a keyboard in WebSMARTT.

Description
Description is the name given to the keyboard. The description usually describes how the keyboard will be used, such as Elementary Lunch or Central Office Bulk Entry.

ID #
The ID# is the number that identifies the keyboard to the system. This number can be used to link a keyboard to a meal session. For example keyboard 44 is used for all middle school breakfasts. A keyboard can be assigned to a specific meal session in WinSNAP, on the Setup | POS | Keyboards & Testing Tab.

Select a food item. Click a button.
This area lists all the available food items that can be placed on a keyboard. Highlight an item you want to
add to the keyboard, then select a key within a quadrant. This 2 step process associates the item to a key.
You add the items one selection at a time (select one item, select one key). Be careful, the system allows you to add an item to a keyboard more than once.

Clear item from button
If you accidentally add an item twice, you don't like the placement of an item, or you no longer need an item on the keyboard, highlight the clear item from button selection (located at the top of the item list), then select the key containing the unwanted item. You will be asked to confirm the selection (are you sure you want to delete the item from this button). Select OK to continue and remove the item from the button, or select cancel and cancel the potential change.

Group A-D
Quadrant A is located in the upper left hand corner of the keyboard. Quadrant B is located in the upper right hand corner, and C is in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard. Quadrant D is located in the lower right hand corner of the keyboard.

Quadrant is a way of breaking up the keyboard, so it is easier to locate items. The keyboard is divided into 4 sections, thus the name quadrant (or four parts). You can logically list your items for ease of use. For example, you may choose to place all the breakfast items in quadrant A, all the lunch items in quadrant C,
all the bulk entry items in quadrant B, and items that are sometimes used in quadrant D.

Long Description
If you select an item then select the Long Description Button you will receive more information on the item you selected. The name that is listed in the item list is the button name, which was defined on the Item | Item POS Details Tab within WinSNAP. The long description is the full description defined on the Item | Information Tab within WinSNAP.

Apply Button
Apply saves the changes you made to the keyboard and takes you to the Changes Applied page.

Delete Button
Delete deletes the keyboard that was selected, and brings you to the Changes Applied page. Click Continue
Continue to return to the Keyboard Select page where the keyboard is no longer displayed.

Cancel Button
Cancel discards any changes made to the selected keyboard and returns you to the Keyboard Select page.

Reset Button
Reset discards any changes you made to the selected keyboard, but keeps you at the Keyboard Update page to allow you to enter more modifications.

Print Button
There are two Print buttons. One for printing a small keyboard, and one for printing a regular size keyboard.

Note: All changes must be applied prior to printing the keyboard.

Print a small keyboard
Select this Print button to print a keyboard for the model 4D terminals.

Print a regular keyboard
Select this Print button to print a keyboard for the model 4C or Mira terminals.

Minimum and Maximum
Minimum and Maximum components required to make a meal can be set by a keyboard. This allows different terminals to have different requirements based on the items served, and the keyboard selected by the cashier.

Note: If you are using the Other session to reflect Lunch components you will want to change the default from 0 and 0 to 3 and 5.

Enter the minimum and maximum components or items required for the selected keyboard.
