Many families across the country depend on school meals to help keep their children fed and nourished each day. While a large number of schools remain closed due to the COVID-19 Outbreak, many of our district customers need to find ways to serve emergency meals to students in their communities. This guide will go over how MCS Newton can help your District track those meals.

The Miscellaneous (Misc.) School Counts feature will allow Districts to track the number of meals they are distributing. The screenshots provided within this supplement reflect the new Newton Color Scheme in Newton Version 10.5. Look out for additional documentation for the 10.5 Release. |
Misc School Counts
Free Student / Adult (See Screenshot)
If they need to change the Price Category for the adult, then they canCafeteria Setup > Cafeteria or Template
Template > Misc School Counts Tab - Enable the miscellaneous counts they want to use
Cafeteria > Misc School Counts Tab - Enable the miscellaneous counts they want to useSelect Cafeteria (this is an emergency site) - Start to Distribute Meals
Start Operating Day
Post Operating Day > No Cash Collected Checkbox - Select this
Misc Counts Tab > Enter how many Breakfasts/Lunches (Look @ Daily Figures Tab for Enrollment) x3 it
Daily Figures to Review > Select “Reviewed” Checkbox > If they have feeder schools, they need to drop down School drop-down menu to review other numbers
Labor Hours if neededReports and Letters > Sales and Revenue > Edit Check > Run Report for counts
After Posting > Daily Recap
