In order to complete any daily operations, a date must first be opened.

  1. From the Home tab, select Open Day.

  2. Select an operating day from the calendar by clicking on a date. Then, click Ok.

    Note

    Dates appearing in red indicate the day has been closed. Dates appearing in green indicate the day is currently open. It is recommended that all daily tasks are completed and the day is closed prior to starting a new operating day.

Checklist

Daily operations are completed by using the ribbon at the top of the screen or the Checklist to the left of the screen. Some checklist items are completed daily, weekly, or monthly. Depending on system setup, some tasks will link you directly to a website (i.e., Check emailCheck freezer temp). By hovering over a task, you can see the due date.

Note

As system checklist tasks have been completed, a checkmark is placed in the box. Custom checklist tasks will need to be checked off by the user once complete.

When a checklist item is overdue, a clipboard with a warning sign will appear notating that the checklist item is overdue.

Once all tasks have been completed for a day, the day should be closed.

  1. From the Home tab, click on Close Day.

  2. If more than one day is open, select the correct day you wish to close. Then, click Ok.

  3. Enter any necessary comments relative to the operating day. Then, click Ok.

    Note

    You must acknowledge that you have reviewed all daily operations and affirm that everything is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge and /or abilities prior to proceeding.

    You may be alerted if you are required to enter meal counts before closing an operating day and no served counts are present.

Reopen Past Day

On occasion, it may be necessary to reopen a past day in order to make corrections. This should not occur on a regular basis. In the situation where is occurs on a regular basis, the user should revisit the User's Manual.

  1. From the Home tab, select Open Day.

  2. Select a closed operating day and click Ok.

  2. You must enter a comment as to why you are reopening a past day.

  2. Once necessary changes have been completed, close the day again.

    Note

    If more than one operating day is open, you will be prompted to select the correct date to close. Then, click Ok.

Override
Override Requests

If a user role has been set to Deny a function and a user attempts to perform the denied task, the option of performing an override is available. If the user requests an override attempt, an administrator or additional high level role has the ability to accept or reject the override attempt. For more information on allowing and denying functions, refer to System Security in the Setup Guide section.

If permission has been denied, the user will receive the following message:

Your user account does not have sufficient privileges to perform the requested operation.  If you would like to request a permission override from your supervisor to enable you to perform this action, you can click the "Request Override" button below.

  1. If you would like to request an override, click the Request Override button.

  2. Enter a reason for requesting the override. Then, click Ok.

  3. If you have requested an override, it is best practice to contact your supervisor or Central Office contact so they can approve the request. Then, click Check Now to see if the override has been approved.
    If your supervisor or Central Office contact is on-site, they may approve the override from your computer by clicking Supervisor Override.

Item Quantity Entry

Item quantities need to be entered will ordering, issuing, filling orders, receiving, and conducting physical inventories. The examples below will help you understand how quantities are entered into the system.

Tip

Counted quantities should be entered as case/unit description or case/unit description + partial use unit.

Case/Unit Descriptions - Quantities entered before "/" equal cases. Quantities entered after "/"equal units.

Partial Use Units - Quantities entered before "/" equal whole partial units. Quantities entered after "/"' equal reduced partial units.
