A process consists of a group of operational steps. There are nine operational steps that can be assigned to a process. Each operational step has two types of control measures that define the operational step: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs).

User-Defined Processes: These processes are created by the user, and they may be created when menu items fall outside the range of the default processes, e.g. you have an item that does not need to be cooked but requires additional operational steps beyond those assigned to the No Cook standard process.
Creating a User-Defined Process
There are three default HACCP processes included in WebSMARTT: Complex Food Preparation, No Cook, and Same Day Service. If you have a menu item that does not fit into one of these three processes, use the Process Wizard and create a new process.
- On the Processes page, you may add a completely new process by clicking Add New, or you may create a process similar to an existing one by selecting a process from the drop-down menu and clicking Add Copy.
- After the Process Wizard opens, enter a Name for the process.
- Enter a Description of the new process.
- Click Next.
- Use the checkboxes to select all of the operational steps associated with the process.
- Click Next.
- After verifying the information in the wizard, click Save and Finish.
After you have created a user-defined process, you can edit or delete it from the Process page. * Include a screenshot with a user-defined process so that the Edit and X buttons are visible *
