The Synchronize option allows you to synchronize changes between Franklin and DataCenter, connect to older databases, and import applications from Apply for Lunch.
From the Utilities tab, locate Synchronize in the ribbon.
Datacenter
- From the Utilities tab, locate and click on Datacenter.
- Select the appropriate action.
Quick Sync
Performs a quick synchronization of minor changes between DataCenter and Franklin.
- Click on Datacenter and select Quick Sync.
- You will see a series of processes as synchronization is competed.
Full Sync
Performs a full synchronization between Datacenter and Franklin looking at all student records and updating information.
- Click on Datacenter and select Full Sync.
- You will see a series of processes as synchronization is competed.
Change Attachment
Change attachment allows you to attach to prior Datacenter database.
Please contact Support prior to performing this function.
- Click on Datacenter and select Change Attachment.
- Select a Datacenter database in which to connect. Then, click Ok.
Complete authorization functions.
Support authorization is required prior to completing this task.
Submit Request - Allows you or a Support staff member to submit the request for higher-level approval.
Click Submit Request.
Enter a comment stating the reason Datacenter attachment is necessary. Then, click Ok.
Manual Approval - Allows you or Support to enter a code manually once higher-level approval has been authorized.
Click Manual Approval.
- Enter the code provided by Support. Then, click Ok.
Online Applications
Online Application imports are typically updated through Scheduled Jobs. If you want to import applications at other times or if a scheduled job has failed, you can import online applications through the steps below.
- Select Online Applications.
If you have not yet entered your MySchoolApps username and password, click Enable Edit and enter the information. After you are done, click Import Apps.
Click Upload Schools to export schools in your District to your MySchoolApps account.
- You will see a series of processes as synchronization is competed.
