Site Groups

On the Admin tab, you can assign sites to a site group in bulk, making it much faster than editing each site record in EZ Views. To access this feature, click Site Groups in the Setup pane on the Admin tab.

Note: You must have permissions in Security Administration (under the Admin tab) to access the Site Groups page.

Site Group List
The Site Groups page opens to show a Search pane and a list of all available site groups. You can use the search fields in the Search pane to look for a specific site group. To edit the group's information as it appears on this page, click Edit. To delete a site group, click the Red X. To change what sites are in the site group, click Assign Sites.

Add New Site Group
To add a new site group, click the Add New Site Group button. A new site group entry will appear at the bottom of the list of existing site groups. Enter a Group Name followed by a Group Description. Under Group Type, select Reports, Communications, or Other. Note that these group types are for organizational purposes. If you are using claims authentication, enter the Domain in the Claim column. When finished, click Save to save the site group. A Group Key is automatically assigned when you save the group.

Assign Sites
After saving a new site group, a pop-up will appear that lets you start adding sites to the group. Click Yes to start assigning sites. You can also add sites to groups by clicking the Assign Sites link on the site group list.

On the Assign Sites page, a list of sites that can be added to the group appear on the left under Available Sites. You can narrow this list by entering criteria in the Search pane above the list. You can list every site by unchecking Apply Filter, which will list every site regardless of what is in the Search pane. Select a site from the Available Sites list by clicking on it; you may use the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple sites. Click the lower Green > button to assign the selected sites to the site group. Alternatively, you can add all of the sites listed under Available Sites by clicking the higher Green >> button.
You can also remove sites from the site group, shown under Assigned Sites. Click the higher Red < button to remove selected sites from the site group. Alternatively, you can remove all of the listed sites by clicking the lower Red << button. Use the Apply Filter checkbox above the Assigned Sites list in tandem with the Search pane to limit which assigned sites are listed.

When you have all of the sites you would like in the group listed under Assigned Sites, click Save to save the site group.
