Admin Console Overview

This guide is intended for users of different degrees of knowledge and experience with the MCS - Admin Console system. It provides detailed instruction, guidance, and explanation of the system and the tasks necessary to complete your job in the most efficient manner possible.
Basic Overview
As you read through this guide, you should see the majority of instructions broken down into steps. Many words have been noted in bold to assist in locating the appropriate action in a step. Images contain highlights, arrows, and notation to assist in proper understanding and navigation while performing tasks.
All expansions are visible when exporting a page or space to MS Word or PDF formats. For details on exporting documentation, refer to Printing & Exporting in Confluence in the Tips section of the Knowledge Base.
- Menus - Menus are located at the top of Admin Console for navigation between major operations within the system.
- Expandable Details
- Table of Contents - The table of contents provides links to sections on the page to allow for quick navigation and access of information. Additionally, Return to Top functionality redirects you to the Table of Contents at the top of the page.
- Additional Links - Additional links are provided in the documentation. The links are to additional pages within the Admin Console space, other reference material in the Knowledge Base, external websites, and email contacts.
Opening Admin Console
- From your desktop, click on the Admin Console icon.
- Enter your username and password. Then, click Ok or press the Enter key.
Connecting and Disconnecting to the MCS Application Server
To Connect
- From the File tab, select Connect.
- Enter the Server name, Port, and your Username and Password.
- Select Ok.
To Disconnect
- From the File tab, select Disconnect.
Note: You must first be connected to the MCS Application Server.
Changing your Password
- From the Security tab, select Change my password.
- Type in your new password, then confirm your password.
- Click Ok when complete.
Closing Admin Console
There are two ways to close Admin Console.
Option 1
From the File tab, select Exit.
Option 2
Select the X in the top-right corner of the Admin Console window.
