The Start Day section allows you to start a new operating day, reopen a past day, and enter after-schools counts.

From the Point-of-Sale tab, locate Start Day in the ribbon.

Note

If Start New Day or Reopen Past Day are grayed out, it indicates a current day is still in progress. To learn more on how to close the day, refer to Finish Day.

In order to begin serving meals, an operating day must first be started.


Step 1: Locate and click on Start New Day from the ribbon or Start Operating Day from the checklist.

Step 2:  In the Start New Operating Day window, select the correct operating day and click Ok.

Reopen
Reopen Past Day

Reopen a Past Day allows you to make edits or add transactions to a day that has already been posted.


Step 1: Locate and click on Reopen Past Day from the ribbon.

Step 2: Select the operating day from the list. Then, click

Step 3: Enter a comment explaining the reason you are editing the serving day.

You will see a processes running as the information is pulled into the system.

Proceed with making any necessary eidts/postings.

After-School Counts
After School Counts

The After-School Counts allows you to post specific meals (free snack, supper, etc.) that occurred after the last meal of the last operating day. If a second operating day has been started, the ability to select one of the past two operating days is available.


Step 1: Locate and click on After-School Counts.

Step 2: Select which operating day in which you wish to enter school counts. Then, click Ok.

This window may not appear if a second operating day has not been started. If this window does not appear, continue to Step 3.
